Of the banks in this series, Deutsche Bank publishes the most detail about its online tests. Here is what it says, and what it leaves out.
Deutsche Bank describes six stages, and its online assessment stage includes a situational judgment test, a behavioural questionnaire and an ability test, followed by a pre-recorded video interview. Only the ability test is timed. The bank does not say on its FAQ which reasoning skills the ability test covers or which provider supplies it.
The FAQ names three components. The situational judgment test and the behavioural questionnaire are about workplace judgement and preferences. The ability test is the reasoning component, and it is the only one that is timed. ReasonEra does not cover the behavioural questionnaire.
What the page leaves out is notable. It gives no durations, no question counts and no list of reasoning types for the ability test. It also does not say how many reattempts exist beyond a limited number of times you can exit the ability assessment before needing to contact the support team.
Ninety-six hours is four days, which is generous. The risk is not running out of time but starting in a tired or distracted state. A sensible approach is to choose two sittings in advance and keep one spare slot.
For the timed ability test, the bank says that if you have a recommendation from an educational psychologist or medical professional about extra time, you can send it to the team and they will adjust your timing. Do this before you open the test. The FAQ also says the bank strongly recommends that you do not use AI tools to answer the video interview questions, because it wants to hear your own words.
Without a published breakdown, the safest preparation is broad. Graduate ability tests in banking commonly stress numbers and text, so rehearse both and add logic puzzles if time allows.
Capture a practice question as a screenshot, upload it, and choose Tutor Explanation to see how the answer is reached. That is a good way to learn a table-reading routine or a text-logic habit, one worked item at a time. It suits numerical, verbal, logical and situational judgement practice material. Use it for learning before your assessment window opens. You get 3 free trials with a free account, and the 14-Day Pass at 49 € covers a full revision stretch.
The bank says you will be told whether you move on and will receive feedback reports with development tips and a performance overview. Read them even if you progress, because the video interview and the assessment centre will test judgement and communication more than speed. If you are not successful, ask when you are eligible to apply again, as rules differ by programme and region.
Pages like these date fast, so check your own invitation for the final word.
ReasonEra exists to teach the method behind each answer, but the rules of a graded test come from the employer, not from us, so use it beforehand and sit the real test on your own.

The early careers process lists an assessment centre or Super Day, usually in person, with competency assessments, case studies and a technical interview. Components vary by role.
A quick way to judge any tool is to use it on questions you already know. Start free, and move to the 14-Day Pass only if it earns it.
