The scales clx relies purely on geometric shapes to evaluate your raw logical aptitude. You must quickly figure out the hidden rule connecting the two example grids on the left, and apply it to select exactly two matching grids from the options on the right.
The assessment is timed (typically 6 minutes) with an unlimited number of questions. Many of the tasks are designed to be quite straightforward, meaning speed is just as important as accuracy.
There is no set number of questions. The system continuously generates a new challenge every time you complete one, often progressively increasing in difficulty.
Checking if a specific shape always appears in exact locations across the 3x3 grid (e.g., noticing a yellow circle is always placed in all four corners).
Counting the shapes to find a matching quantity (e.g., realizing that the correct grids must always contain exactly seven of one specific shape, regardless of position).
Noting if a certain shape consistently fills a specific cluster of cells (e.g., the top six spaces of the grid are always filled with the same identical shape).
Remember: There are always exactly two grids out of the four options that follow the hidden rule. You must successfully identify both to move forward.
