How ReasonEra works

A browser-based tutor for aptitude and reasoning practice. No download, no QR code, no second device.

The short answer

You create a free account, upload a screenshot or photo of a practice question, choose whether you want the answer only or the full explanation, and read the result. It all happens in the browser tab you already have open.

Four steps from question to explanation

1
Create a free account
Sign up on the website. Your account includes 3 free trials, so you can judge the explanations before paying anything.
2
Upload your practice question
Take a screenshot of the question, or photograph a printed one, and drop it into the upload area. Include the full question, the answer options and any legend or key.
3
Choose a mode
Quick Verify shows the answer only, which suits you when you want to check your own reasoning. Tutor Explanation adds the step-by-step rules behind the answer.
4
Read, then try a similar question yourself
The explanation names the rule or method that was used. Take a minute to apply it to the next question before you upload again.

Quick Verify or Tutor Explanation: which one when?

Quick Verify
Use it once you have your own answer. It tells you whether you were right, and if you were wrong you work out why before looking at the explanation. That struggle is where much of the learning happens.
Tutor Explanation
Use it for a pattern type you have not met before, or when you have been stuck for several minutes. It lays out the movements, rotations, counts or calculations in order.

A simple routine many people find useful: attempt the question, check with Quick Verify, and open Tutor Explanation only for the questions you missed.

What question types does it cover?

ReasonEra is built for reasoning-test practice: abstract, inductive, diagrammatic, logical, numerical, verbal and spatial questions, situational judgement items, matrix tests such as Matrigma and Raven's, and game-based tasks. More than 50 tests and providers are supported. The AI aptitude test solver pillar page lists each question type with an example.

What you need

You do not install software, scan a QR code or connect a second device. The data safety page explains why that matters.

Languages and devices

The site is available in English, Danish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish and Swedish. You can use it on a desktop browser or on a phone, and the two product demos on the home page show both.

Where it fits in your preparation

ReasonEra helps most when you use it alongside timed practice. Do a set of questions under time pressure first, then use ReasonEra on the ones you missed. The free practice tests on this site are a good place to generate those misses.

Practise on ReasonEra

Before you rely on any tool

ReasonEra is designed for practice and learning, but conditions for a real test are set by the employer and are often strict, so follow the rules you agreed to when you accepted the invitation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to download anything to use ReasonEra?
