AI Logical Reasoning Solver

Upload a logical or deductive reasoning question, get the answer in seconds, and see the reasoning step by step.

The short answer

ReasonEra is an AI solver and tutor for logical and deductive reasoning questions. You upload a screenshot or photo; it returns the answer and, in Tutor Explanation mode, the chain of reasoning that leads to it. It is built to help you learn, not to replace your own reasoning.

How to use the logical and deductive reasoning solver

  1. Photograph or screenshot the question. Keep all answer options in the frame, and use questions you are entitled to practise with.
  2. Upload it on the site. ReasonEra opens in a browser tab, with no app and no QR code to deal with.
  3. Pick Quick Verify or Tutor Explanation. Choose the answer alone to test yourself, or the answer with its reasoning to learn from it.

What logical and deductive reasoning questions look like

Deductive questions give you statements or rules and ask what must follow. Some are text-based, such as syllogisms and conditionals. Others are visual or interactive, such as scheduling and ranking tasks. The key is to use only what is stated.

Worked example: a syllogism

Question: All sales reps have a company laptop. No one with a company laptop can install their own software. Which conclusion must be true: (A) Sales reps cannot install their own software, (B) Some sales reps can install their own software, (C) People without laptops are sales reps, (D) Nobody can install software?

Answer: (A) Sales reps cannot install their own software.

How the reasoning goes:

  1. Translate: sales reps are inside the group "has a company laptop".
  2. The second statement says nothing inside "has a company laptop" can install their own software.
  3. Because reps are inside that group, they cannot install their own software.
  4. Eliminate the rest: (B) contradicts this, (C) reverses the first statement, and (D) goes beyond what is stated.

We wrote this example ourselves; it is not a live test question.

How accurate is the logical and deductive reasoning solver?

Category in the benchmarkGeneral models testedSpecialised models
Deductive and verification logic (SHL, Talent Q style)54–77%94–97%

ReasonEra measured these itself in a benchmark published on 30 November 2025, using 500+ analogous public items from 15 providers and no proprietary questions. Testing was blind and inputs were identical. The general models were GPT-4o, Claude Opus 4.5, Gemini 2.0 Pro, GPT-o1 and Grok 2; newer versions exist now. Independent verification has not been carried out. Read the benchmark.

Practice tips

  • Use only the information given, not what you know.
  • Turn statements into simple diagrams or set notation.
  • Beware of conclusions that reverse a statement.
  • Check the explanation to see which step you skipped.

Limits to know about

  • Upload the full question with every option visible, since a partial capture is a common cause of wrong answers.
  • Puzzles that depend on an unstated convention can lead to an answer that differs from the answer key.
  • Interactive formats with dragging or ordering can lose detail in a static screenshot.
  • Treat every explanation as a study aid and verify any step that looks off. No tool is right every time.

Keep it to practice

We built ReasonEra to help people learn how reasoning questions work. Whether outside tools are allowed in a live test is the employer's decision, so check the terms of the one you are sitting.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a logical reasoning solver?

It is a tool that reads a logical or deductive reasoning question from an image and gives the answer. ReasonEra also shows the reasoning so you can follow each step.

Can AI make mistakes on logic questions?

Yes. General models can hallucinate steps under pressure, which is why ReasonEra shows its reasoning for you to check. ReasonEra's published benchmark reported higher accuracy for specialised models than for the general models it tested.

Which logical tests does ReasonEra support?

ReasonEra has guides and solvers for tests including SHL logical reasoning, Sova logical reasoning, Korn Ferry Elements and Aspects logical, and Aon GapChallenge. See the list on this page.

Does it handle interactive questions?

ReasonEra handles standard and interactive deductive formats for the tests it supports, such as scheduling and ranking tasks. Results can vary with image quality.

Is it free to try?

Every account starts with 3 free trials of the solver. If you want more, the 14-Day Pass is 49 € for unlimited use across the supported tests.
